The PianistThe Pianist by Władysław Szpilman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Few stories captivate me so, that I cry. The agony and fear, the desire and lust for music, this young man was not just gifted with music he was blessed with it. A story so deep and dark, you have to put everything else aside in your life to read this book – you can’t put it down because you have to know … “Will he survive?” Next to Schindlers List, The Pianist is second to none when it comes to the era of Jewish suppression and German warfare – their fear was as real as the music that sings from the keys of his piano. Fascinating! Brilliant! Remarkable!
