Delilah Cordova of Smart Marketing for Authors interviewed me recently, and what a lovely and professional woman she is. Thank you, Delilah, for the opportunity to chat with you about my book, ‘Cocooning The Butterfly’. You can read the entire interview HERE.
If Halya had known what the Knight Riders stood for, stood against, and what they did to protect her life from the Demons Den gang, would she have experienced the trauma and heartache that she had gone through?
Possibly, but that’s not what happened or how it was.
Sheltered and innocent to the reality of the bikers that swarmed about her everyday life, and the modern world, her family did what they had to do to save her from sure death. The Demons wanted her dead, but they had to find her first.
Orphaned and uneducated about the real world she was bullied, beaten, shunned, molested, raped, battered, harassed and broken, but her faith and will to endure gave her the strength to search for the man in her nightly dreams.
This is Halya’s side of the story, what she went through and how she overcame the pain and sorrow of her past.
Loving her, protecting her, sheltering her in warmth and tenderness, her dream man, The Buffalo, it was his destiny in Cocooning the Butterfly that would save her spirit from sure madness, as he used his horse whisperer’s tactics to make her feel safe.
A biker’s war, a long-standing feud over a multi-million dollar ranch, one boy and one girl were destined to achieve the promise of the old men of long ago.

Just some of the Publishing Firms I’ve found so far, and most are Canadian based – the majority of which are listed members of the Canadian Publishers Association – however, some may have offices located in other countries. Finding the right method of publishing, or publisher, is like finding a needle in a haystack. Be aware! Not all traditional publishers are the same, and they all have their own methods and procedures for manuscript submissions. I personally, chose to publish with a ‘hybrid’ publisher – Book Baby – because I wanted the control, ownership, and rights to my work, but I also wanted the best royalties available, as well as a distribution channel that reached the world. I got all of that, in one easy to use control dashboard, where I can do anything and everything an author would want or need to do to publish, promote, market, sell, advertise and offer discounts or coupons. I wish you all the best on your journey.
As an author, it’s important to be visible to the public as much as possible, and Social Media is the key. So many tools out there, to get you connected, but also, and more importantly, for your readers to connect with you. No matter what your genre, there is a Network waiting for you, and with an open mind all of these Networks can provide you with stepping stones to success. Know of another great Network? Let me know!
Authors need Resources – that’s a fact. Finding the right resource can be a total nightmare. Some of us, as newbie authors, have no idea just how vast and complex the book market and world really is. Here’s a list of just some of the incredible number of research and resources every author needs to know about. If you know of a great resource that’s not on my list, please tell me about it. Every author can be successful if they know the rules of the game, and where to locate those rules.
