CujoCujo by Stephen King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Entering the mind of a massive dog as he turns from normally healthy to rabid, we experience the illness right along with him; Cujo goes crazy, demented, and viciously mad. King must have spent hours upon eons envisioning, contemplating, and analyzing the process this illness instills to the brain, and to what end its effects would have from the dog’s perspective. It’s not just the horror for the dog, it’s the horror of those trapped by him, that makes this book a masterpiece. Twice attempted, film-makers have yet to master Cujo in all of his true essence.
